Providing Speech Therapy to Children and Adults
with Down Syndrome in Galway City and County

News

The annual running costs of the project for 2010 is projected as €200k. As we receive NO state or institutional funding this will have to be achieved entirely through charitable donations and fundraising by the Voices for Galway.

In the current economic climate it is even more important than ever that all parents and families row in behind the charity and play an active role in fundraising. Even those who do not like being in the front line no doubt know some family member or friends who would be happy to help. We will keep you all updated on what fundraising events are coming up and all volunteers are always very welcome

Our next major fundraising event is in co-operation with the Irish Greyhound Board on Saturday 25th February at 7pm who will be hosting a benefit night at the dogs in Greyhound Stadiums across the country in order to raise much needed funds for Down Syndrome Ireland, aiming to raise over €100,000 nationwide. This is the second year of this event and last years Galway Branch night at the Sportsground track, College Road was a great success. Please come along again this year and help make this year's an even greater success.
